2024 Great Donate and Giveaway

On Friday, September 6, 2024, due to predicted weather conditions, The Great Tricycle Race is transforming into The Great Donate and Giveaway! From 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, we’ll be collecting food donations for Haldimand County food banks in the Haldimand Motors service department.

Parking: Volunteers will be directing you as you enter into Haldimand Motors to the closest parking spot to the building available.

Entry: Attendees will enter through the lot-facing door into the service shop

Stations: Each service bay will have a table where volunteers will collect food bank items, provide tickets, and record your name and phone number for the draw.

Flow: After dropping off your donations, you’ll move through the service department into the waiting area, which will feature tables for donations to the OPP Corn Eating Contest, Triple B Cotton Candy, Community Living baked goods, and Cayuga United Church snack table. As you pass into the sales department, you’ll see displays of the door prizes and sponsorships.

Exit: Attendees will exit through the sales doors, where a food truck—Caledonia Lions—will be ready to serve as you leave.

At 7:00 PM, we will host a Facebook Live event to broadcast the corn-eating contest and announce the door prize winners. Winners will also be notified by phone, and a QR code will be available to check for live updates on ticket numbers as they are called. Door prize pickup will be available from Monday September 9 to Friday September 14, 2024 between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM at Haldimand Motors
